Aims	To assist people with mobility problems to access shops and services in Redcar and to help them make positive and informed choices by providing a wide range of information in the resource and through the internet. Mobility problems can be either permanent or temporary.
For Whom	Anyone over 16 who has a mobility problem who can operate the equipment safely and who is unable to access facilities in Redcar. (The mobility may stem from being elderly, disabled or perhaps due to injury eg a broken leg).
Services	The Information & Shopmobility Service provides manual and electric wheelchairs and scooters to help you access shops and services in Redcar (10am-5pm Tues to Sat). You will be shown how to use the equipment and we will ensure you can operate the equipment safely. A wide range of information is also available in the resource and through the internet to help you make positive and informed choices.
How to Contact	To use the Shopmobility service you can register on your first visit but it is advisable you contact the shop before your visit to ensure the equipment you require is going to be available. Bookings can be made up to a week beforehand. To register you will need to bring two forms of identity showing your name and address - eg driving licence, pension book, utility bill.
