Aims To improve the quality of life for the local residents. To enable families to achieve positive outcomes. To increase local residents involvement in their community. To reduce isolation and social exclusion. 
For Whom Local residents in the West Redcar area. 
Services Extra support to individual families. Outings and activities for children and families. Parent/Carer support groups. One to one work with children, young people and parents/carers. Junior Youth Inclusion Project. Mens work (support and activities for fathers and male carers).Volunteering. The Kara Family Projects family support is an open access service. Families seeking support can either come along to a group or course they see advertised within the community or self refer on advice from another parent or friend or be referred for help by a statutory or voluntary agency. The Youth Inclusion Project is at present not open access. It is available to young people 8-13 years who fit the criteria at risk of school or social exclusion. Most young people are referred by a statutory agency, however self referrals who meet the criteria are accepted.
